MIET organized a one-day workshop on Outcome Based Education (OBE) for the esteemed faculty members of MIER College of Education (Autonomous). It was an enriching experience where our dedicated faculty members came together to enhance their teaching methodologies and align their educational practices with OBE principles.
 
The workshop began with a warm welcome note by Prof. Ankur Gupta Sir, Director MIET, followed by a keynote session delivered by Prof. Adit Gupta Sir, Director MIER. Sir emphasized the importance of Outcome Based Education in developing Program Outcomes, Program Specific Outcomes & Course Outcomes and highlighted the challenges for measuring these outcomes.
The session was then graced by Dr. Renu Gupta Ma'am, Chairperson, MIER Group. Ma'am appraised the faculty with the new and improved Vision Document of MIER College of Education (Autonomous) 2023-2028. She enlightened the faculty about the significance of OBE in attaining course outcomes through assessment and evaluation. She also discussed the teaching-learning process, curriculum framing, and announced the newly embodied core values of MIER that are "ENGAGE, EMPOWER & EXCEL".
 
The session was further led by Prof. Sahil Sawhney Sir, GM, Strategic Initiatives. Sir appraised the faculty about the principles of OBE and guided them in designing Program Outcomes, Program Specific Outcomes, and Course Outcomes. He also emphasized the importance of mapping course outcomes with program outcomes and developing an understanding of OBE-based assessment and evaluation tools. He discussed the challenges that faculty members may face with attainment levels and introduced them to the automation of OBE using the PI360 software. He provided a practical hands-on session, demonstrating how faculty members can use a data input sheet to calculate attainment levels efficiently.

Each participant brought their A-game, making it an unforgettable day of pure artistic brilliance.
 
EPIC RAP BATTLE SHOWDOWN
The rap battles were nothing short of phenomenal! The lyrical geniuses took to the stage, delivering powerful verses, mind-boggling wordplay, and intense rhymes. They left the audience in awe with their quick wit, clever punchlines, and magnetic stage presence. The rap battle participants truly set the bar high for future contenders. Kudos to all the rap maestros who showcased their skills with unparalleled passion and energy!
 
 MESMERIZING DANCE PERFORMANCES
The dancers brought the house down with their mesmerizing moves and electrifying energy! From classical to contemporary, each dance performance was a feast for the eyes. The stage came alive with their flawless choreography and jaw-dropping performances. The dancers enchanted the audience, leaving them in awe of their sheer talent and dedication. Hats off to the dancers who left us all spellbound with their remarkable performances!
 

Startup Skill Dev

 

The IEEE Student Branch at MIET, Jammu organized a guest lecture on "Startup Skill Development" which was held on 18th of May at Lecture Hall 2, MIET. The event featured notable speakers who shared their experiences and expertise in various aspects of startups and entrepreneurship.
 
Mr. Manoj Aggarwal (Retd.IAS Officer and Professor in Incharge Institute Incubation and Innovation Council at IIT Jammu) enlightened the audience about startups, focusing on idea validation, networking, and skill development. He shared valuable insights on overcoming challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
An interactive session allowed students to engage with the speakers and discuss practical steps for implementing business ideas effectively. Participants brainstormed ideas and received guidance on launching their own startups. The guest lecture covered information about incubation centers, highlighting their role in nurturing and supporting startups. Joining incubation centers provides access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and essential resources.
