Signing of MoU between MIET & University of Florida
The Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) is pleased to announce the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Florida, a collaboration that promises to open new avenues for our students.
The partnership was formalized during the visit of Prof. Sartaj Sahni, Distinguished Professor of Computer and Information Sciences and Engineering at the University of Florida, to the MIET campus. The primary focus of this collaboration is to explore the possibility of offering a certificate program for final-year students from the Computer Science and Civil Engineering Departments at MIET, with a potential pathway to a Master of Science (MS) program at the University of Florida on a preferential basis.
During his visit, Prof. Sahni met with the MIET leadership team and was given an overview of the innovative PI-360 product. He also reviewed project presentations by Sumant Pangotra and Suhail Gulzar from the Computer Science and Engineering department. Prof. Sahni expressed his admiration for the high level of innovation and the commercial potential of the projects showcased by MIET students.
Prof. Sahni commented, "The innovative work being done at MIET is truly impressive, and I see great potential for commercial applications. I am confident that the talented students of MIET will excel in the MS programs at the University of Florida. I look forward to working closely with MIET in mutually beneficial areas."
