Startup Skill Dev

 

The IEEE Student Branch at MIET, Jammu organized a guest lecture on "Startup Skill Development" which was held on 18th of May at Lecture Hall 2, MIET. The event featured notable speakers who shared their experiences and expertise in various aspects of startups and entrepreneurship.
 
Mr. Manoj Aggarwal (Retd.IAS Officer and Professor in Incharge Institute Incubation and Innovation Council at IIT Jammu) enlightened the audience about startups, focusing on idea validation, networking, and skill development. He shared valuable insights on overcoming challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
An interactive session allowed students to engage with the speakers and discuss practical steps for implementing business ideas effectively. Participants brainstormed ideas and received guidance on launching their own startups. The guest lecture covered information about incubation centers, highlighting their role in nurturing and supporting startups. Joining incubation centers provides access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and essential resources.
 
 
The Dean Of Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ashok Kumar presented a momento to Mr. Manoj Aggarwal as a symbol of our gratitude for their valuable contributions.
Mr. Majid Majeed) Co-Founder of Nucleon) shared his startup experience, focusing on the Internet of Things (IoT) and its potential to revolutionize various sectors. He discussed the future of IoT, its market overview, and showcased projects involving IoT in agriculture.
Mr. Lakshya Devan (Founder Of MESH IIT Jammu and SDE 1 at Amazon Bangalore) emphasized on the essential skill sets required for success in the startup ecosystem, including continuous learning, adaptability, and effective communication.
Mr. Parmveer Nandal (Co-Founder and CEO Of Nucleon) shared experiences in the health and food sectors, emphasizing their evergreen nature. He guided participants through idea validation, networking, and determining target areas.
Mr. Parmveer discussed emerging technologies like blockchain and cryptography and their potential applications. On interacting he motivated the students to work towards skillset development. NASCOM, a leading IT industry association, was acknowledged for its support of startups. Their initiatives and programs were discussed, highlighting the resources and support available to entrepreneurs. The Startup guest lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to seek
clarification and gain further insights from the speakers. The event proved to be a valuable platform for
aspiring entrepreneurs, equipping them with knowledge and inspiration.
