About the Seminar:

The NAAC Sponsored National
Seminar on “Performance
Assessment and Benchmarking of
Higher Education Institutions” is a
platform to initiate debate, uncover
new ideas, and provide direction for
evolving future strategies to
effectively assess and benchmark
institutions of higher learning in India.
The geographical scale and
heterogeneity of India pose
significant challenges in effectively
evaluating institutional quality through
traditional mechanisms of yearly
reports and physical inspections.
New paradigms are needed to
ensure that the system of evaluation
and assessment besides being
comprehensive is continuous and
scalable as well.  In this context,
Model Institute of Engineering and
Technology invites academic
leaders, faculty members, research
scholars, quality experts and
practitioners from diverse fields to
submit papers relating to this
extremely important theme or
participate in the seminar.
Objectives:

1. To engage the experts and
participants in formulating a broad
framework for Academic and
Administrative audit for institutes of
higher technical education based on
measuring output and outcomes.

2. To deliberate on viable
mechanisms for Academic and
Administrative audit for institutes of
higher technical education which are
continuous and comprehensive in
nature.

3. To devise strategies for
institutionalizing a culture of quality and
performance.

4. To create awareness on the
availability of modern ICT tools for
tracking and managing institutional
quality and performing automated
audits.
